Do I need to change my charger hardware?
No hardware changes required. AmpPay integrates at the software level via OCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1 — the same protocol your charger already speaks. We work with YoCharge CMS, and we can also integrate directly with most OCPP-compliant management systems.
What are the fees? Any hidden costs?
AmpPay charges a simple transaction fee (2% per session) on Chargers 26 and above. Your first 25 chargers are free — ₹0/month, ₹0 per transaction. No setup fees. No annual contracts. No hidden charges. See our Pricing page for full details.
How does auto-refund work if a session fails?
AmpPay monitors every session in real-time via OCPP. If a session fails to start, stops unexpectedly, or delivers less energy than paid for, our refund engine automatically initiates a UPI reversal within 60 seconds. The driver receives an SMS notification. No support ticket needed from either party.
Can I use AmpPay with non-YoCharge hardware?
Yes. AmpPay works with any OCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1 compliant charger, regardless of manufacturer. We've tested with chargers from BrightBlu, Navurja, and other Indian OEMs. As long as your charger speaks OCPP, AmpPay speaks back.
What payment methods can drivers use?
Any UPI app — Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, Paytm, Amazon Pay, and all other UPI-enabled apps. We also support RFID cards and FASTag for fleet/corporate use cases. Credit/debit cards (via Razorpay/Cashfree) are available as an add-on.
I operate chargers at multiple sites. Can I manage them all?
Absolutely. AmpPay is built for multi-site CPOs. Your dashboard aggregates revenue, session data, and charger health across all sites. You can drill down to individual chargers or view portfolio-level analytics. Settlement can be aggregated or split per site — your choice.
